Happy New Year 2020 or How to create New Years Resolutions?
Dear all,
Happy New Year 2020! I hope you have survived the excesses and intensity of the past celebrations with grace. I indeed did, while collecting a bunch of beautiful memories with my chosen family in Switzerland: my beloved friend and partner.
The last days of 2019, I guided unofficially a 3-session process during my Yoga classes to create New Years energy and resolutions. If you missed my past classes, here I share with you a resume and main points of the New Years journey we navigated in the past days. You need paper and a pen, find a peaceful place and time to be on your own.
Take a piece of paper and fold it by the middle. Use the left side of the fold for Step 1. Turn it and use the right side of the fold for Step 2.
Step 1. Find your Inner Compass, the Divine Inner Child Energy
Sit in meditation.
Breathe.
If it helps you to connect with yourself, chant a mantra, burn Palo Santo or an incense stick.
Allow the eye of your intuition to go through the files of your memory, focus on the time you were 4-5 years old. If you can’t remember, let your intuition resource your imagination.
Ask your intuitive intelligence:
What was important at this age?
How did you approach the world?
How was to be in your body at that time?
Find words or concepts which encompass the visions of your intuition. These are the characteristics and elements of your inner guiding compass, your Divine Inner Child Energy. Write them in a piece of paper.
Step 2. Observe the adult you.
Sit again in meditation. Reconnect with the eye of your intuition.
See through it and focus on the quality, attitude, energy and first thoughts which characterise the moment you wake up in your present adult life. Observe them without judgement, write them in a piece of paper.
Unfold the paper and compare both sides. Are you aligned in the present with your Inner Compass? Where do you find opportunities for growth and development?
Reflect on what you wrote. Find out which could be potentially the mental habits, actions and rituals to create a life guided by your Inner Compass and connected with your natural joy.
Create practical day-to-day life New Years resolutions based on these findings. Little mental habits, litte actions, little rituals together can create a big life change. Good luck!
With love,
Dani
